Her privacy was violated. It is an absolute farce that she lost her job due to these circumstances. Poor woman.

Union County High has become an embarrassment in front of the nation and Superintendent David Eubanks has shown himself to be incompetent and not worthy of the position. Eubanks needs to resign or be removed immediately for the reputation of the school district. Ms Arthur did nothing wrong and should receive an apology at once.

Mr. Eubanks' irresponsibility in this matter is the significant matter.

This teacher did NOTHING wrong. She has been violated and treated with the utmost disrespect. Let her get back to her job as a teacher we don't have time for this BS. Its a nude picture, get over it.

This is a sickening display of spinelessness from admin. Teachers need support and inappropriate behavior from a student of this magnitude has to be dealt with. Anything less is a gross dereliction of duty on the part of admin.

I AGREE SO MUCH WITH THIS PETITION. GIVE HER HER JOB BACK.

This is completely unfair and a breach of privacy. Mrs. Arthur seems like an amazing teacher that the students love. She should be able to teach where she wants, comfortably. This petition is FAR from insignificant. Shame on you David Eubranks.

You should reinstate her position with the school. She was the victim of privacy violation. Alternatively, she should file a huge wrongful termination lawsuit.

It's unacceptable that a forgiving and understanding teacher gets punished because a kid took her phone, violated her privacy and shared it with other peple

Superintendent Eubanks should resign. His comments on this issue are both obtuse and disgraceful for someone in his position. I hope a similar petition is soon launched to removed this recklessly misogynistic individual from public school administration.

If your position in this debate is entirely determined by bureaucracy and procedure, your office could be entirely replaced by a rulebook. Prove a human voice is still necessary by making a human decision instead of hiding behind procedure. A woman's livelihood and reputation are at stake, and the damage is already horrific.

They should sack the guy who sacked her and treat her so badly, not her. The kid should be prosecuted.

this is beyond disgusting to shame her for having a NORMAL and HEALTHY sex life. Punish the punk kid who STOLE her picture (if under 18, he should be prosecuted for accessing pornography underage, as well as theft, invasion of privacy, sexual harassment, etc). Give her back her job (plus a nice settlement).

Allow her to have her job back. What we have on our phone is private. If she was famous he would be arrested like others from The Sun newspaper.

Absolutely outrageous. A clear violation of this teacher's privacy-- a 16 year old should know that it is not okay to go through a person's private photos and share them without permission. Moreover, for the school and district administrators to do anything other than support the teacher and punish the student is completely unacceptable. The school admins had better prepare themselves for some very unfavorable national attention if they don't immediately work to rectify this situation. Welcoming the teacher back is the right thing to do. -Kara McVey, Los Angeles, California
