The student is blatently in the wrong and what they did was a severe breach of privacy, rights and respect of the teacher. You are complicit in that breach.

Clearly, its time to remove this incompetent "interim" superintendent Eubanks. He is not worthy of the position.

What the student did was equal to trespassing into someone's property because the front door is unlocked. It should not be encouraged by victimising the teacher whos privacy has already been violated by the student. Common sense should prevail and I urge the powers that be to make the right decision.

@ the age of 16 you have the capacity to know what you doing and the consequences of stealing photos off a phone. This student should be prosecuted and the teacher re-instated to her former position.

This is insane! Everyone has the right for privacy. School leaders and student should be punished. Teacher should be given her job back.

As young men you are trying to right a wrong done to your teacher. Your classmate showed poor judgement and immaturity but as you point out he knows this and this is being addressed - we do indeed, all make mistain kes & when young these are more understandable. What is disturbing & puzzling to me as a non-American, is how your school's administration could so misjudge tje situation. What the administration has done has I surmise been far more hurtful than the tech enhanced stupidity of 16 year old boys.

The student who stole the teacher's picture, passed it around, and threatened "a day of reckoning" should be considered a future sexual predator and a danger towards women.
In addition, no teacher should work in fear of having a student rummage through their phone, steal personal information/pictures, AND BE FIRED FOR IT! In what other profession does a worker have so little protection for their privacy? How can we ever try to recruit quality teachers with stories like this, where a teacher's privacy is totally violated, and the violator receives no punishment? If the student is not expelled, then it sets a precedent for other students to do the same, in which case...how can anyone want to be a teacher anymore when they are so degraded and unprotected by the schools they work for?

unprofessional knee jerk reaction from the member of staff responsible for this decision, what is on a private phone is just that private, the student in question stole the phone and then shared the photos without the victims permission, there are a lot of consequences for the student and the teacher should be being treated with a lot more respect and tact
