Teachers have so much responsibility. Give this teacher a chance. I have pictures on my phone, and I am a classroom teacher. I have never thought about locking my phone. Teaching is a very difficult job. We have the most difficult and low paying jobs, and are treated like criminals.

Whether they used her phone routinely or not, there's no reason her personal pictures should have been invaded and shared. I hope everything goes as needed. -Spartanburg

Theft is stealing something that belongs to someone else, anything. Punish the criminal not the victim. Has your twisted society broken down so badly justice has left the USA.

That little piece of s#it is getting far too much "airtime". He was smart enough to abuse the teachers situation, ( keeping in mind she was doing her job) not been funny but he deservesaid the toughest punishment available.and he needs to learn that it is not ok to humiliate a female ,actually anyone in this manner. He fully understood what consequences his actions would carry. Time to get tough and to stop making excuses for him and all the other stupid kids.
That teacher deserves instant reinstatement and compensation in some forms or another.!!!!

What if this had happened to a male teacher? Could you still claim is was somehow "teacher negligence" that was to blame? That argument has NO merit. The STUDENT made the choices to follow through with inexcusable behavior. And you blame the teacher??? With NO ramifications for the student? As a teacher, this absolutely SICKENS me. Absolutely unbelievable that this woman could lose her job because of the actions of this child going threw her phone ! Too much political correctness in the world these days , she should be reinstated and the pupil expelled as to save her ever having to see him again and as for the man who fired her he should be sacked too . The phone was taken w/o permission and so the photos on it were available because they were using her profile. When she loans it, it is possible she lets them use it as a guess. That means they don't have access to private photos.
