Perhaps the teacher should not have been so trusting of her pupils but that said the child has shown himself to untrustworthy and should be ashamed of his actions.

Students and teachers don't shed their constitutional rights at the school house gates.

It's unbelievable that you should treat a teacher like this. The student should have been subject to some sort of discipline at school and the teacher should have been supported through her inevitable embarrassment and the whole issue left to fade away asap.

Utter and totally unwarranted action from the school. the student is at fault clearly, not the teacher. You don't use your neighbors pool without their consent and blame the pool owner, you blame the trespasser.

Having your property stolen should NOT get you fired. Way to blame the victim, administrators. This student should be expelled for theft and cyberbullying. And this teacher should be immediately reinstated, with an apology.

What happened to Mrs. Arthur could happen to anybody. It was a terrible invasion of privacy. She shouldn't have been fired.

Somebody PLEASE EDUCATE THE EDUCATOR, then reinstate the teacher, so she can sue the hell out of both the superintendent and the school system along with the student who did it.

This is sexist, plain and simple. Not that this woman would want to work for such an unsupportive administrator but this termination is ridiculous. There's nothing like teaching young men that a woman's body or images of her body are private and not meant for their consumption, oh wait, this school system is teaching the opposite. Shameful and embarrassing.

Punish he person who committed the crime, not the victim. How hard of a concept is that ???

100% agree with the petition. The collective body of school board losers who came to this decision will most likely "meet" some powerful internet trolls in the near future. This story needs to get posted on every forum there is until justice has been served. Too bad she's married..

This superintended David Eubanks is a piece of garbage. He should be required to resign.

She did nothing wrong. The student was at fault and should receive at least some disciplinary action.

What a good way to teach students to lose all respect for authority, by making such a stupid decision. Give this woman her job back.

Greetings from Oregon. David Eubanks. you are an inhuman pile of sludge and you should be the one forced to resign. you have shown an insurmountable amount of ignorance in saying that it's the VICTIM'S fault something was stolen from them. Your contributions to society are toxic, and should be halted immediately. signed, someone who actually uses their brain.

What about the teacher's rights? If he had stolen her purse would she e to blame because she did not lock it up? THIS IS OUTRAGEOUS!
