It is easy to see why Mrs. Arthur would quit her job even though she did nothing wrong. If she hadn't been patrolling the halls, she would have been in trouble, and now the superintendent is mad because her students were unsupervised? Which should she have chosen? Mrs. Arthur, your career is not over!

Hope all goes well for Mrs Arthur.
Get all the kids to walk out of school on strike and not go back until she's reinstated. Worked for us got rid of our Headmaster who was being a complete arsehole.

This is a blatant example of victim blaming. Very unprofessional and down right disrespectful. Not to mention damaging to the kid as many will hold him responsible for her unjust treatment.

The child was charged with computer crimes, aggravated voyeurism, and distributing pictures of a teacher from the teacher's cell phone. Just for the people who want justice on the kid getting charges and having consequences for messing his teachers career up.

Setting my anger at the student aside, it disgusts me that some people are blaming the teacher for this. What she did falls somewhere between a careless mistake and misguided (implied) trust, neither of which are deserving of punishment. While I agree that one should have their phone locked when it's not with them, she shouldn't have to assume that it's going to be taken the moment she takes her eyes off of it; that's paranoia. Regardless of what she has on the phone, having it stolen shouldn't reflect poorly on her, yet she's the one whose career has been all but ruined.

This is ridiculous. This teacher has been very unfairly treated. The student on the other hand should of been charged with thief.
Did his parents never teach him " if it doesn't belong to you, then don't touch it " ?

As a young female teacher, I find this story heart breaking. Teachers have a right to privacy. The student should be facing charges, not the teacher.

The student should be be the one in trouble, he has affected someones career that they have worked so hard for because he clearly has nothing better to do. Whether the teachers phone was locked or unlocked this is going against her own human right of privacy. Why should her life be affected because of a silly little boy.

Teachers chose to spend their lives sharing knowledge, no matter how mean the students are to them, no matter how low the salaries are... Teachers are heroes and should be treated that way. Shame on you all!
