What the hell is this world coming to when a woman does something in private, and a CHILD exploits her. And the woman gets in trouble?!?!? This is not her fault. Shame on the school!

The kid should be the one getting in trouble, not her.

Ridiculous situation. Expell the kid and give Leigh her job back.

This woman was the victim of theft. The students invaded her personal belongings. They basically broke into her hoeand disseminated her personal effects to the school campus. And, rather than expel these thieves, you terminate this teacher instead. This woman did not circulate these photographs, these students smearing her reputation did. She is innocent. I explore you to not terminate Her for being the victim of theft of private property.

David Eubanks should be punished.

Disgusting. The teacher is a victim of a crime. If she had left $200 in her purse and left the room, does that mean the students can go and take her money? The student should be held responsible for illegal distribution of someone's private property.

Don't punish women for men's transgressions.

This insane course of action needs to be reversed. The student should be expelled and the teacher returned to work.

When we shame a victim into resigning so that we can save face, we aren't setting a very good example for our children. Rather than punish the teacher (who had private information stolen from her personal, private device) we should punish the student who invaded this teachers privacy and went out of his/her way to circulate nude photos against this woman's will. If someone steals a nude photo you took for your husband and posts it online is it your fault? No, it's the fault of the person lacking morals and personal boundaries. Set an example by standing by the victim and condemning the perpetrator or you are aiding in the facilitation of like crimes. Kids will think it's ok to share someone else's private pictures when it's anything but ok! This is the problem with society and another example of "rape culture" in all its glory.

What kind of school wants to teach children/young adults that violating someone's privacy is OK and that the victim should be punished? Not cool. Punish the person who was evil enough to do this to a hard working teacher.

An outrageous decision following an outrageous invasion of this poor teacher's privacy. We should be supporting teachers, not disciplining them for what they do in the privacy of their own home. Reinstete her now and apologise fulsomely to her!!!

Complete and utter bull crap that she was fired when she's the victim. >:(

While it may not have been a smart thing to put a personal photo on a media device that could mistakenly see its way to the internet, this student was TOTALY in the wrong here. What he did was basically steal something that was not his. He should be brought up on charges. The teacher should be reinstated...not her fault!

As a teacher myself, I find that a students illegal actions somehow fire back on the victim of theft and close to something that would be covered by revenge porn laws (shame SC doesn't have any). Re-instate her. Don't make her an scapegoat .

The student should have been expelled of at the very least, suspended. David Eubanks should be stepped down as superintendent over his handling of the situation.

I feel this attack on privacy was undermined. I cant understand a cenario where stealing and spreading private information about others should be commened. RIP AMERICA

That's crazy and I would there is a law against what the student did. At least at that age do you have to be told to not touch it? I hope this can be fixed in her records!
