Making someone resign from their post because of the actions of others is constructive dismissal. Yes the boy did wrong but the educational body should have supported the victim instead of holding her responsible.

The picture was to her *husband*. Are you going to start regulating married people's sex lives? That punk kid should be punished and maybe prosecuted for theft.

David Eubanks is a scummy name and she deserves her job back. The student made a dumb mistake, why blame the teacher. Who gives a damn he ignores this, keep bothering him and convince him.

I cannot believe this teacher is being punished for the immature nature of a student who should know better than to steal another person's personal belongings, let alone go through them and show them.

You should not punish women for having a sex life! Don't lose good teachers over a misbehaving student

So sorry that this happened to her and extremely appalled at the boy who did this. He may be "only 16," but that's old enough to know when you're being a complete jerk and bully.

We all deserve second chances, both the teacher and the student, both made mistakes and the teacher seems like a generally nice person and good at her job who cares about the students and the school.

The fact that sexuality is damned in our society to the point that the basic morality of stealing is overridden by it is astonishing. There is no reason she should not be reinstated immediately and the offending student punished

What a case of blaming the victim! She has her personal photos distributed without her consent and instead of supporting her and holding the student accountable, the principal's answer is to fire her? Sounds like this school maybe needs a new principal... Maybe the school district can consider rehiring Mrs. Arthur for that position.

Superintendent Eubanks needs disciplining along with the student who took the phone. It is theft and then some.

Students need to be held responsible for their actions. Taking a teacher's phone is clearly inappropriate. It is not her fault; the student should be punished regardless of police findings.

Absolutely wrong to take action against this fine human being. Don't you dare tell me that a woman of any occupation does not have a right to her sexuality.

The continued act of disrespecting teachers while pampering students because of fear is causing education to wither to its state today.
David Eubanks, resign for all the teachers, students, and educators' sake.

A child has no business stealing whether he leaked her pictures or not. Your administrators are supposed to support you not allow some kid to go unpunished and blame you. Give this woman her job back!

Shame on you school administrators for undoing all that we do to teach our children to be good law abiding citizens by not disciplining students for a blatant theft and theft of personal data. What we do as adults in the privacy of our homes, and devices are our business and not the public's or the schools. What occurred is no different than if the student had tapped the teacher's phone, recorded a private conversation, and then broadcast it for all to hear. I am glad my son is not institutionalized in your school system.
