This is a total injustice, I doubt the head's own pride will allow him to reinstate but perhaps the opinion of others can help him see even he can get it wrong. Good luck from Northern Ireland.

she shouldn't of lost her job due to a students personal attacks against her, she didn't allow him to invade her privacy and he should be punished.

This is an absolute joke!! You, as the person responsible, should resign.

Shame on the school. The student should be expelled and prosecuted for malicious behavior. What a creep and hurtful person.

Support from Indiana. Cannot believe a blatant disregard of privacy is seen as the teachers fault.

Teachers are too easily being punished to an extreme for things that are not entirely their fault thereby giving an ever growing number of students the ability to not just "Troll" a teacher but cost them their job without fear of consequences. We need to protect our teachers and not just our students. Teachers are too few and too underappreciated to readily throw under a bus.

Do not be intimidated by administration's attempt to find other reasons to dismiss you. If there has not been a formal letter placed in your file that you have signed, their complaints are bogus. Stand tall. Let your union back you. Then, reap your rewards. The student is the one at fault. Good luck and enjoy what will eventually be much greater than your teaching salary in lawsuit settlements!

Its a disgrace that this lady should lose her job through the fault of a yob and his behaviour. The head of the school should be ashamed of themselves. It just shows that the school has no control over the students

Blame the student, not the teacher!

This is a genuinely shocking decision by the school. I think they should reconsider their position and apologise.

This teacher deserves better. What is on her phone within her own privacy is her business. Period.

Students should keep their hands off others property. Should start smacking fingers with rulers again. Kids had manners back then.

I wonder if the superintendent has sought out these images for his own "purposes"

It's absolutely ridiculous that the school system would dismiss a well educated and dedicated teacher because of the idiocy of a stupid teenage kid. The boy and all those who have been involved, have committed a crime.......stealing the privacy of an innocent victim, and the kids should be punished. They, otherwise, will continue a life of crime.

I'm from South Florida and the lack of respect these kids have these days is unacceptable. Suspend that kid at least a couple of days instead of being "oh it's the teachers fault".

She was the victim, there was no need for action taken against her.
