I signed this as it is wrong for someone to violate ones privacy and no one should get away with it no matter what age. The teacher deserves her job back. Support from UK

Nice way to tech out youth accountability for their own actions SC--how about leading rather than following. Victim blaming makes me sick. David Eubanks you should be both ashamed and jobless.

Punishing the victim of a crime is a horrible example for students. David Eubanks is another example of a cowardly pencil pusher who is either too clueless or too scared to stand up for what's right.

Stealing a picture off of a phone is a crime. The superintendent should be fired for not standing up for his teachers. This teacher is a victim of invasion of privacy. This incident tells all students that they can break into our desk and steal our money, belongings, pictures, or anything they want because we will get fired. How about you check your students' phone they have way worse on it than that teacher.

Come to mass. The schools are better.

She should be rehired and if not, any school should be lucky to have her. That superintendent is frankly dismissing her for another reason entirely. I don't know what that is, but every time another piece of evidence is revealed that vindicates her, he finds another excuse. Despicable.

Ms Arthur deserves better than this. An unlocked phone (or door for that matter) doesn't stop a theft from being a theft.

Mrs. Arthur absolutely should get her job back and the kid should absolutely be disciplined. This world is backwards.

Teachers should not have to lock their phones or worry about students taking anything off their desk. This student displayed a complete lack of respect for his teacher. He should be severely disciplined. When I was in high school, this behavior would not have been tolerated. This is just another example of what is wrong with our politically correct society...

I do not want to ruin this young man's life but nor should the teacher be dismissed. Her phone was on get desk. If should have been left alone. Do not forget that she was pig ofthe room making s security check required by her job. If she wasn't required to monitor the hall, she would have been in the classroom.
