The teacher is not at fault. The fact that the student responsible has not been punished is mind-boggling.

Some support from over the pond in the UK. It's irrelevant that she may or may not of allowed students to use the phone in the past, this does not give anyone the right to copy any images or data from the device. I hope some common sense prevails

Of course she should not lose her teaching position because a student essentially stole private information from her cell phone. The idiotic things that now take place thanks to social media and the ever present "smart" phone are going to continue to cause pain, embarrassment and illegal activity like the world has never seen. Knowing what was on her phone, the teacher should have locked it with a password or always kept in in her possession, but that does not give a student or anyone the right to transmit data from someones media device to any other source. That is theft, pure and simple as well as mean, stupid and cruel. I hope some lessons have been learned by all concerned and people have to start using their media-internet-photo devices in more responsible ways, or the society is just going further down the drain as far as civility, morality, and productivity are concerned, not to mention what a waste of time most of social media is.

Unless the school involved plans on their teachers being celibate for the duration of their employment there, they should realize their employees do have sexual lives which they deserve to keep private.

This is absolutely ridiculous!!! This was a complete breach of privacy and absolutely not the fault of the teacher. These students know better!

The boy is malicious. Why would he take someone 's private material without consent. By dismissing the teacher you are sending wrong messages to students to continue victimising teachers knowing that they will not be punished. The poor teacher has got bills to pay and her dignity has been destroyed. Please give her job back
