That is so wrong in many ways. The student should be punished not her.

I want her to be reinstated and compensated for mental agony caused by such act of a guy. This is my phone and whether I leave it locked or unlocked, no one has the right to check it without my permission.

What a joke, the student is the one who's done wrong not the teacher. Reinstate her imediatley.

Her private property was basically stolen and she's being punished?!? That's ridiculous.

Read the article in the UK and can't believe that the school have made this huge error. Please school board realise the mistake and get great PR by taking back Ms Arthur. Just need some good common sense and stern talking

The teacher is allowed a private life and this photo was stolen from her private phone by a student accessing her personal belongings illegally. He should be expelled from school and face criminal investigations not the teacher

I support Mrs. Arthur. The student should be forced to resign instead. Thank you.

This woman is the victim, not the perpetrator.

The board's decision to dismiss Mrs. Arthur is utterly ridiculous. The student stole her phone while she was out of the room and then threatened to share personal photos with other students. There is a difference between allowing a student to make a phone call under supervision and having a student swipe your phone while you are out of the room. Superintendent David Eubanks needs to do the right thing and reinstate this teacher.

The teacher should not be punished for the illegal actions of another. If I stole a car and was involved in a hit and run, should the owner of the car be held responsible? Of course not. Reinstate the teacher and stop this madness. This campaign has gone worldwide. Graeme O"Hanlon U.K

Full support from me I believe the child should be forgiven - once he truly realises what damage he has done Only then will he truly grow up

It is such a disgrace that at an institution of learning a 16 year old is not being taught the life lesson that his actions have consequences and that some behaviour is unacceptable. The punishment of the victim only reinforces this delinquent bahaviour. That boy can be glad he is not my son.
