Re-estate this teacher.
This is a ridiculous outcome for the deliberate actions on another person.

It's absurd that the consequences of someone else's actions somehow fall on Mrs. Arthur. If a car thief hits and kills a pedestrian in a stolen car, does the owner of the car face charges?
Mrs. Arthur's most intimate level of privacy was violated, sexual pictures were distributed, and her phone was stolen. She's clearly the victim in this circumstance, but isn't being treated as such. This level of reasoning is the same as saying a rape victim was asking for it. We need to start placing blame where it lies instead of searching it out in the victims.
Mr. Eubanks should be held to a higher standard. A strong school board would take immediate action investigating the situation and all administration involved in this decision, including, but not limited to, Interim Superintendent Eubanks.

To whom it may concern,
Private property IS private. Which is WHY it is called or named PRIVATE. Laws need to be upheld, change or update to keep pace with new technology. In this case it is missed the mark totally and should be corrected a.s.a.p. with the real crimes 1. been invasion of privacy and 2. the malicious use of the private content stolen from a private phone (property). The real victim is Leigh Anne Arthur. The real criminal is the student. The real shame is the student has learnt no consequences from these actions. The authorities involved have made Poor decisions which mean poor outcomes for all. The school has condoned these crimes and now who will be the next victim now that students know no action will be taken. will it be a student, a teacher or a under aged child. How many lives will be turned upside down before the authorities act correctly to put a stop to these actions. The answer is NONE correct it NOW and reinstate Leigh Anne Arthur. Show the world you can correct this miscarriage of justice and send the message to privacy thieves it is not ok to do this to ANYONE and that they will be held accountable and there actions will have consequences.
Sincerely,
Patrick

Suspend the student! He stole her personal property. He expossed her private photograph, which he had no right to access, and posted it for everyone to see.

Reinstate her, she is not at fault the student is and I expect his sincere remorse is because he is now being investigated. His words to her at the end of that day were cold and calculating and he knew what harm he would cause, no pity for him.

It's the student who should be punished not the teacher, she did nothing wrong. If I left my door open would I go to jail because someone robbed me? Absolutely ridiculous.. Send him home for two days and give Mrs A her job back - she sounds like a good teacher too.

Fire Eubanks and anyone of the spineless peons that supported the removal of Mrs. Arthur. To Mr. Eubanks; I’m glad to see you’re not letting your education get in the way of your ignorance.
If these people think that just because a phone is locked and away everything is safe they misunderstand the world we live in.

Too many lives are being ruined because of children being deceitful, yet the adults are always to blame, if this student walked into this teachers unlocked front door without her permission would it be her fault for not having it locked? ? It's absolutely ridiculous, no wonder kids push the law even further. This teacher should not loose her job because another student invaded her privacy. Absolutely ridiculous.

Come on, this is ridiculous, and could happen to anyone. She may have let students use her phone, but that's not unlike saying at a particular moment, yes, you can go into my wallet or purse. It doesn't mean you always have permission to do that. Her private photos were looked at without her permission by a student and circulated. We all have photos like that, and it's not so easy to hide them on your phone. It's a very personal archive. This is totally analogous to a student going through her personal belongings and finding a nude photo. There's no reason for her to lose her job. The student is young, but was abusive, but the real crime is the administration of the school failing to defend a staff member who has been violated.
