I'm from Ireland and if this women does not get her job back it would only reflect that the American education system supports criminal and bullying behaviour as that is what the student did. He stole a photo, threatened an innocent teacher and humiliated her with no just cause.

Let common-sense prevail; reinstate Leigh Anne Arthur.

The boy should be expelled and the teacher brought back. I live in England but lived in the states from childhood to my 40's. This story is going around here now!!! Disgusting. Glad I moved.

The interim superintendent is a fool. When does his tenure expire, so he can take up something a little less taxing?

What a joke! Reinstate her immediately. It was a private photo which I bet all the people that is in power to reinstate her have some they would be embarrassed of!

The superintendent appears to be an idiot, the child should be disciplined and the teacher reinstated. Kids will be kids, these things happen, but the people in charge need to cop on and not blame the teacher. They should also share the pictures so we can all have a look.

This teacher deserves our support and respect after having her personal property stolen. The way her employer have treated her is despicable

That boy should be ashamed of himself that woman should be allowed send pictures of herself to her husband without some little sick boy getting hold of her phone and doing that

Teacher should be re-instated and the student prosecuted for breach of privacy and 'revenge porn'.

Ridiculous, this was just a picture on her phone. The student should be disciplined for having accessed her phone and distribution of the image.

This is a despicable act of retaliation and cyber assault against a teacher! Wake up and support your teachers, America! We not only teach and advocate for your children. We stand in the gap when you are ill, incapacitated, unable to feed them, or have abdicated your responsibility. In NO industry does leaving a personal item on a desk give anyone, much less, a child license to touch, peruse, or steal it and use personal information to CYBER ASSAULT an employee! This is an assault on a school employee: a juvenile felony and using social media should make it a federal offense. REINSTAT AND COMPENSATE the teacher; charge and court supervise the student regardless of his "remorse," and sanctum or fire the Superintendent! The intentional cyber-bullying of ANYONE by a minor should result in termination of any and ALL social media privileges until the child reaches the age of majority. The parents should be mandated to enforce the sanction or be charged with contributing to the delinquency of a minor. The Superintendent should immediately be educated, made to publicly denounce the student's actions and apologize publicly and profusely to this teacher!

No different from breaking and entering. He's the thief and she, the victim.
