Blatent infringement of privacy. In my school the pupil would be culpable. No reason for teacher to leave (unless she wants to). Reinstate please.

Do yourselves a favour and make the right decision and give this woman her job back and kick that little toe rag out!

Regardless of whether the teacher left her phone unlocked, the student stole a private image and maliciously distributed it. He should be held accountable for his actions. If he doesn't learn now, he never will. Atrocious behaviour on every level.

FOR SHAME. The school, district, and student should all be ashamed of themselves. (Congratulations, Superintendent Eubanks, this link has been shared by NPR, so I don't think it's going away anytime soon.) I'm glad to see the student has apparently learned his lesson... Maybe the school will learn theirs?? No wonder we have a shortage of educators, with young people watching teachers repeatedly get punished for daring to have a private life unrelated to teaching. A dedicated teacher can do wonders in the classroom and still deserve their own life outside the school, ESPECIALLY in their own home!

Let common sense prevail as clearly teacher has had her right to privacy breached. Whatever her relationship with her husband that's the way it is ,it's nobody's business except theirs!

Reinstate the teacher .... And for god sake shoot the student... Sorry, I'm speaking to Americans ...shoot the student is a metaphorical comment, from an Englishman... Unless he's black, in which case a law enforcement officer probably already has!

We all make mistake's but how in the hell is firing her and punishing a kid going to help teach anything except innocent people get punished along with the guilty. the kid should be punished for what he did and live with his mistake and she should of received a warning not to leave her phone unattended. why she lost her job is just stupid and arrogant of the school involved.
