I cannot believe this story the school executives should be ashamed of them selves and the student should most definitely be punished for his malicious conduct

This is disgraceful and ridiculous. Your personal devices are your own, even if they're unlocked. In the same vein, leaving the front door to your home unlocked may not be the smartest thing to do, but is definitely not an invitation for anyone to come in and photograph your bedroom and everything that may happen in it. Get real.

The lad should be held accountable for his actions and by not doing so he believes he can do anything he wants

This is a disgrace - this woman's privacy has been violated. Please support her to get her job and life back.

The school is sending out a terrible message to victims of similar crimes. So much is being done to tackle crimes such as "revenge porn" and this school's attitude is sending a clear message to its students, that this behaviour is the VICTIM'S FAULT. It is abhorrent.

I agree with the sentiment of the petition - let's not vilify the pupil who stole the teacher's private property and caused her all this distress. He (I assume it's a he from what I've read of the case) should be served with appropriate consequences, which will teach him that theft and shaming is vile, and motivate him to never do it again. This should be a valuable lesson that leaves this young man a better person than before. I agree also with comments that have called for the dismissal instead of David Eubanks, who seems to be responsible for this ridiculous situation. This troglodyte has contributed to the delinquency of a minor, of many minors, by teaching them bullying and victim-blaming is a-ok.

In my opinion, the teacher did nothing wrong. She did not send the photos to her students, He took her phone and illegally shared her private pictures (intended for her husband). The student in question should be punished, not the teacher.

The responsible person need to be published. Distroying other people life cost a lot for them.

What Mrs. Arthur does in the privacy of her home with her husband has nothing to with her competence as a teacher. This privacy was clearly invaded by the student who stole her phone. It is the student, not the teacher, who should be removed from the school, and also punished for his unlawful actions.

So absurd that Mrs. Arthur would be blamed for this at all. Ideally her phone would have been locked, but claiming that her failure to lock her phone makes her at fault is nothing but victim blaming and shaming. The only person(s) who should be punished are the student(s) responsible. The only ones who should be ashamed are the student(s) responsible and the students who sat there and watched it happen. The modern smartphone is a nexus of private information. Rifling through someone else's phone is on the same level as breaking into their house and looking through all of their stuff. Even if you take nothing, the violation is awful; the damage is real.

Absolutely disgusting that this ladies privacy was invaded, it is bad enough that the picture was shared without her losing her job, it is the young man who should be punished for going through people's personal property

Why as the boy not been disciplined . surely it's against the law to send images of others without their permission.

This teacher does not deserve to lose her job over something a student did with the contents of her phone. What this teacher, just like anybody else, used their phone for is their private business.
