This double standard is absurd. The student made the choice to steal from the teacher's phone. Wrong. The teacher does not deserve to lose her job over this insanity.

I strongly object to the actions of the student. At 16 he would have been aware of the seriousness of his desicion to attack her privacy. She is not accountable what so ever for leaving her phone in the presence of this class. Its a breach of trust and the individual concerned should be held accountable.

What a disgrace!! Poor woman. This is just a typical example of the children of today who have no respect for their elders. He should be punished and her job should be reinstated. From a British citizen! !!!

As a retired Head I believe it is wrong to blame the teacher for what happened. And is it so bad that a teacher should be seen naked anyway? Double standards?

I just saw this on German TV news and I am shocked. Everyone has the right to do what they want with their body, and now people are putting the blame on the teacher? Her student shouldn't have touched her phone in the first place. This is not okay.

The teacher should be reinstated and the boy should be dealt with appropriately, for stealing and sharing private images.

Sounds as though the teacher didn't do anything wrong. The student made the decision to breach her privacy. In my opinion, from what I have read, the teacher is the victim here.

Total lack of privacy... While she should have locked her phone it is utterly rediculous that she loose her job for someone else's criminal act. She did nothing wrong.

I am from england and have decided after reading this that i would like to have a voice of support aswell. This student decided to proceed with a spiteful act and should be punished accordingly and expulsion should be rightfully considered. Regardless of wether her phone was left unattended or not, he chose to involve himself with something that wasn't his. Based on what I have read, I believe your teacher should be re-instated and rules should be changed to support teachers rights and to punish those that abuse them. Common sense must prevail and I hope that after this is sorted all parties involved who lied should be dealt with properly and fairly. If the person in charge of this investigation IS spreading lies, then disciplinary action should be taken there also.

Firing this woman is absolutely ludicrous. She didn´t bring in printed, naked photos of herself, to be left all over a classroom. She had private photos on her PRIVATE mobile phone. The only person worthy of punishment here is the child that violated her privacy and spread those photos around without her consent.

So the student has shown remorse...could that be that he's been caught! This teacher is nothing but a victim, and if this student is allowed to get away with it, what example is that setting for him and other students for the future
