This is obviously a case of disregard for the teachers right to privacy and favoritism for whatever reason towards the student. She is adult woman with every right to use HER PHONE as she sees fit without violating any laws. I'm sure there would be a different viewpoint on this if this circumstance happened to the superintendent.

Where has the respect for adults gone ! Disgusting behaviour from that pupil he should be investigated by the police. Reinstate that teacher immediately or we send out the wrong message to pupils! Can't believe the school did not back the teacher!!!!!

Absolutely absurd that someone would be punished. School board, this is the equivalent of a police officer saying, "well, you had guests over to your house, so of course your TV was stolen." It's as idiotic as it is offensive.
The bottom line is you are punishing the wrong person. STOP victim blaming! You are sending a HORRIBLE message to your students and you should be absolutely ashamed of yourselves.

Blaming and punishing someone who is a victim is reprehensible. What kind of example does that set?! Teach the kids about personal responsibility! I am so glad my child isn't under that school board. They are an embarrassment.

I wholeheartedly support Mrs.Arthur's reappointment as a teacher. This child cruelly invaded her privacy and vindictively disseminated her private photos and should be the one being punished not the teacher.
