I doubt that this petition will be successful. "Leaders" like the good Doctor are usually nothing if not obstinate. Lawsuit might be more effective. Voters in Union County should take a hard look at this self righteous phony.

I feel horrible for her. It's sad that she was attacked for being a victim. It's sad how the school district wouldn't back her but turn on her. These students need to be punished for what they've done!

This is silly. Her students obviously value her as a teacher. Teachers that are this well liked are not easy to find.

This teacher did nothing wrong. It is NOT her fault that someone stole her personal property and violated her privacy by sharing what was found on her personal property. The way that the superintendent is acting is sick and misguided and could cause him to face legal action if not changed.

Why is this 16 year old getting off lite? He has stolen something & yet not being even questioned by police if he had of opend her purse & taken money or a photo out that would be theft so tell me the difference??? Please

IF Mrs Arthur should actually want her job back, then she should be re-instated at once. Students must be taught that such an action is totally unacceptable. This will serve as a warning to other students too.

We have a expectation of privacy.
If we leave our house unlocked and some their walks in and steals something, it is still theft.
The same is true with a cell phone.
If we trust those around us to respect our space, our belongings, and what is not theirs. Then we can not be expected to believe one of those trusted individuals would violate that sacred trust.
We all have an expectation of privacy. That is how society works.
