This is absolutely disgusting of the superintendent.

This is unfortunate all the way around. Teachers are people too and what she does on her off time, in this case should have nothing to do with her job. I stand with the students and agree that this petition is not "insignificant".

Blaming the victim for a crime should be a crime.

Give Mrs. Arthur her job back! Then promote David Eubanks to JANITOR!

Teacher is the victim. If he'd gone in her purse and taken cash would the teacher be fired? Does the subject matter not make her a victim?

Shame on the boy and shame on the board for not taking disciplinary action against the boy.

School authorities are in the wrong, and Ms Arthur is the victim of an injustice by the school, as well as theft and an invasion of privacy on the part of the students who took, searched and found personal intimate image/data on, her phone

So a kid brings a knife to school, stabs the teacher, and she is fired for staining the floor with blood? Mr. Eubanks, do the right thing. For someone that can't get enough funding so that she has to buy her own supplies for her students' projects, I think it should be someone else that should "resign"?

Such an abuse of someone's privacy is quite disgraceful. I am shocked the student in question was not repremanded! To put the blame on the Teacher for not locking her phone is to completely miss the point! The student involved has a lack of manners and moral standing.

The comments by the superintendent for the school, David Eubanks, "that Arthur should not have left her phone unlocked." Victom blaiming if ever I heard it.

Ridiculous that this woman was blamed and lost her job because a student stole her phone and violated her privacy. You, David Eubanks, are a weak, despicable little man. I hope you lose your job for being such a coward and spreading lies about this woman. You're a low life.

What people do behind closed doors within the limits of the law should be of no consequence to your employers. She was not behaving unprofessionally. She did not misrepresent the school. The student should be expelled and legal charges pressed. You are teaching a child it is rewarding to steal....grasp that. An institution charged with educating children is supporting theft. Amend this now! What would you be fired for doing at home if held to the same standard as you've held her?

You share any pictures on online media is a serious offence now and he should be taken to court if he did that to an ex girlfriend he'd be reprimanded for it his age is old enough to take responsibility and he should learn that that can ruin people's lives! No stupid decision he needs to learn a lesson I thought the world was taking these incidents more seriously. Others will think it's okay. She deserves her job she earn her career and she is human he invaded personal items stole an image and shared it. I'm disappointed the that action has not been taken against him and that her life has ultimately been ruined.
