Teachers have such a hard job as it is without having no support from their school head or school board! This poor lady is a victim of a crime, revenge porn is a crime and this appears to fit that criteria. Man granted 16 years old posting and sending these photos without the ladyies consent with the aim to humiliate and discredit is a crime. Punish the lad who knows right from wrong at the age of 16 and give the lady sympathy she has been through a lot and the victim of a crime! Reinstate this teacher!

Children that are not held responsible for your actions will grow up to be adults that won't take responsibility for their actions. While I do agree the teacher should have kept her phone locked. I also believe students need to respect rules and personal space. The student should have never went through her desk to begin with and should have never went through her phone. This is an invasion of privacy.

MRs. Arthur should be taken back as teacher. She has the right have any pictures of her in her own phone.

It's discrimination against women. So, the students can stole mi wallet on my purse and it was my fault?

No one should feel that they ard in danger of losing a job because of private photos meant for a consenting adult. Especially when the were obtained through theft.

It's a shame that a town that I once lived in has made National new's, in this light. When the victim get's reprimanded?

Give her her job back! That student violated her privacy. Suspend or expel him. There was no reason for him to be on her phone.

It is unacceptable that this teacher was punished when she had nothing to do with sharing the photos.

Maybe the interim superintendent David Eubanks should be dismissed as "insignificant".. And yes this student should face consequences for his actions..

I can't tell you how much I admire your straightforward and thoughtful handling of this delicate situation. There are better responses out there than the knee-jerk firing of a dedicated teacher and by supporting her, you send a strong message to the women in your community and in the larger world. Thank you!

This is equivalent to rape culture. This teacher was a victim of invasion of privacy, and the school is punishing her.

Student is old enough to show respect for others' property. If there is any more question as to whether an individual's phone is his/hers personal property, see Apple vs. FBI. Shameful situation and David Eubanks needs to publicly apologize for his obtuse demand for this victim's resignation. Next on agenda-find qualified superintendent.
