Punishing the victim of sexual exploitation is disgusting. The student who purposefully stole property, violated personal privacy, and used a private photo to shame an authority figure should be the one asked to leave the school. I feel like the student should be arrested as well for distribution of a nude photo to minors.

I can't believe this kid is getting away with all of this and not just no punishment at school but no criminal charges. Double standard! I hope if she doesn't get her job back, she sues the school district & teacher's association's butt off. Where are her advocates in the school system?!?!

I think it's totally unfair and disgraceful that the teacher has been reprimanded over this and lost her job as a result. The teacher must be devastated. The student should have been punished for stealing her phone and sharing the photo on social media. An example should be set to other students so they don't think it's ok to steal and not have respect for authority. These days there is do much emphasis on kids rights but what about their responsibilities to make them well rounded adults.

Complete violation of privacy rights. Why no charges laid on the student who did this? Why inequality towards female teachers ? Is this your governing system ? So much about Good Governance…. The teacher should be reinstated and the student responsible should be punished and expelled from the school who is a shame to the school.

Forced resignation was wrong.
The thief and distributor should be charged with Larceny, Violation of Privacy, Wrongful Appropriation in addition to distribution of pornography. Not to mention expulsion from school. The young man ruined a woman's career, humiliated her in public and should be required to be held accountable. He did a horrible thing. What if he had found a photo inside her purse? It is the same thing. He had to open up the apps find gallery and search; the kid committed a crime plain and simple and she is suffering.

It is shameful that the victim is being blamed for something that is clearly not her fault. She is a victim of theft, sexual harassment, etc. I cannot believe this is happening to her, the superintendent should apologize and be fired and the student should apologize, be expelled, and face criminal and civil charges. Where are the parents? They should be outraged!

Mrs. Arthur should be immediately reinstated with back pay. The super mr. Eubanks should be fired immediately for exercising such poor judgment. The teacher had a very reasonable expectation of privacy & was not attempting in any way to force students to see the pictures. The student in question should have been suspended. - a long time high school teacher
