It is ridiculous that an educator is blamed for this incident. The school board should be held responsible for not taking action and punishing the student. A woman's privacy was taken from her, and she looses her job? That superintendent is a disgrace.

The student should be held accountable. If the accounts are true the student told her "your day of reckoning is coming" all because of a failing grade. What are we teaching our children if they are allowed to dedicate so much of their energy in exploiting their teachers rather than working hard to get the grade they deserve? This disgusts me.

The pupil should face disiplinary action for going into someone else's phone, his actions are wrong.

I can't believe that you are holding this teacher responsible for the students actions. What if you had a moment of vulnerability and someone took advantage? Who would you blame? Simply discipline her. Don't make here resign! This wrong.

Shame on the school district for making her, the victim, pay for what selfish teenagers have done. Punish them, not her!

This is a blatant example of victim blaming. This lady should be publicly apologized to and David Eubanks should be terminated.

The superintendent needs to respond. He's letting this spiral out of control.

The teacher wasn't sexting, she wasn't putting those pics out for public view. Because a 16 yr old TAKES her phone WITHOUT her knowledge or permission, SHE'S somehow at fault here?? Unless the school has a policy that all phones are locked or are with the teachers 24/7 at school, there is no way this is her fault! She should be reinstated and the STUDENT should be punished to the full extent allowed for not only theft of a phone, but for distribution of pornography without the individuals permission.

Punish the student bring back the teacher. The student should have known better than to snoop into personal property to begin with let alone sending them all over the place. Expell the student bring back the teacher

The problem is not with the students but with the superintendent, David Eubanks. Prove to your students that they do have a voice and when they come together they can make a difference. Reinstated the teacher and make a new rule. Leigh Anne Arthur is the true victim here.

I find the superintendent's reasoning and dismal of the teacher to be very poor judgement. The student should be dealt with for this. At 16 he should have known much better and is not being done any favoures by no action being taken against him.
