Ms. Arthur should not be fired, or forced to resign, because of the actions of her student. The student is the one who was totally out of bounds. Ms. Arthur's privacy was violated.

You have GOT to be kidding .
A child STEALS a phone , pushes SEVERAL buttons , SEARCHES a gallery , perversely gawks at .someone else's PRIVATE picture , PASSES this stolen item around to several others , ( making them all thieves , and possessing stolen goods ) , so THEY can be perverts gawking at a PRIVATE photo , and the TEACHER is being punished ?! How is that SHE did anything wrong here ???
Oh , and by the way , there is NO WAY that they didn't know better . They are SIXTEEN ,, not THREE .
WHY IS THE VICTIM BEING PUNISHED ?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!
Give her her job back , with full back pay , full back benefits , and full seniority rights .
Then , A P O L O G I Z E .
Someone needs to start one of those " go fund me " type accounts so this woman can start a law suit against these miscreants , ( and start with the superintendent , school district , and on to the children . EACH , and EVERY single one who " shared " , or in any way passed this on ) .

Using someone's phone without asking first is like looking in someone's purse or wallet, its simply not good manners. This teacher did nothing wrong. The teacher should not be punished for the students misbehaviour.

She was not smart to leave her phone, the behaviour of the student is, however respectless and very unthoughtful and should be punished. She was morally wrong, the teacher just made a human mistake. Don't blame the victim. All the best and support for a fair outcome from Holland, Amsterdam

It's ridiculous that a teacher is being punished for having her privacy violated. News flash: people have bodies! Everyone is naked underneath their clothes. Implying that a teacher keeping nude photos of themselves on their personal phone is the important issue here--rather than someone copying and sharing *someone else's* nude photos without permission--is frankly offensive. The very existence of this petition disproves the assumption that the students will become "unmanageable" or "lose respect" for a teacher after someone distributes partially naked photos of her: instead they've rallied in support of her. It's the school authorities who showed no respect for Mrs. Arthur when they fired her. I think the students have showed more maturity than the school authorities attributed to them; frankly, they've displayed a better sense of morality in this situation than their administration, and I'm proud of them for that.

Whatever the outcome, thanks for starting this petition out of concern for your teacher. Also, great job on urging people not to bash your fellow student who made a mistake.

This is completely wrong and the student is one who deserves to be punished. Teachers have it worse than the students and it's honestly extremely sad.
