This Superintendent should be forced to resign. The students involved in this should be punished as well. What a disgrace when such act of invasion of a teacher's privacy ends up with her losing her job. It is her business what photos of herself she keeps in her cell phone. The Superintendent's act is an affront to the teacher's rights.

This teacher should certainly be allowed to have her job back. She cannot be held responsible for the actions of the student.

She seems like a dedicated and hardworking teacher who genuinely cares for her students. I think the way the district is handling this is atrocious.

This is disgraceful that the teacher has lost her livelihood and the student in question has not been punished!

this is everything wrong with the education system; she is forced to find a new way to provide for her family while he MAY get a slap on the wrist. Her name get's blasted everywhere - he is just "the 16 year old"?! stop.

I'm signing from all the way in Liverpook, UK - this lady has done nothing wrong and it shouldn't effect her career in the slightest!

All the best for the teacher in question. What that boy has done is bang out of order stealing an image from a respected teachers personal life.

I am not a student but have read the articles concerning Mrs. Arthur. I find the issue at hand to be despicable and her resignation unfair to her. I hope she comes back to continue to educate her students

It was stupid to leave her phone on the desk but it was not her fault that a stupid kid invaded her privacy and sent it for the world to see.

I can't for the life of me understand why an invasion of someone's privacy is grounds for the termination of their job.
