Superintendent David Eubanks, watch how quickly you change your mind about the significance of petitions such as this one when someone starts a petition to have the board of education remove you from office. Your victim-blaming is abhorrent and irresponsible. Teachers should not be fired for having their privacy violated.

Superintendent David Eubanks is a adult child who can't seem to back away from having his head up his own ass. Fire him.

Think back to the days before technology. If a teacher left her purse by her desk and a student went through her purse and found her wallet that contained private photos and then photocopied them, there would be no question that the student was at fault and violated the personal belongings of the teacher. What happened with her phone is no different. She should not be punished for what was on her private phone and was wrongly accessed by a student.

An *interim* Superintendent... To me, David Eubanks is an embarrassment to the teachers...Instead of downgrading this teacher, he needs to concentrate on putting Discipline back into the schools...As long as he is *afraid* of disciplining students they are going to continue to be disruptive and that is why students are not learning like they are suppose to!! They know that no one is going to correct them for fear of lawsuits and they are laughing behind the teachers backs....How bout a petition to rid Union of Mr. Eubanks...Wonder how many would sign that petition....and oh by the way....what the school wouldn't do the police have done...Sad that this man would talk about a teacher that has given 13 years to students...

The should be held completely responsible for touching a teachers phone and taking pictures of her pictures. The prob is private and personal.

After Mrs. Arthur's privacy was so shamefully invaded the matter was compounded when Mrs. Arthur was requested to resign her job instead of simply disciplining the offending student. It clearly appears that Interim School Superintendent Eubanks is a confused manager in way over his head who needs to learn about simple fairness and respect for others. A gross injustice has been done to Mrs. Arthur. I do hope and pray that she is promptly reinstated with a public apology to her and her entire family for being wronged by an immature student.

The Superintendent David Eubanks dismisses the petition as 'insignificant"? Well you Sir are appearing Very incompetent !!! Your decision to ask Mrs Arthur to resign is the most asinine thing I have EVER heard of !!! Are you in that school district so afraid of these spoiled and hateful kids that you allow them to get away with ANYTHING??? You are a poor excuse for a Superintendent !!!

It would appear that Mr. Eubanks is not in control of term "Victim". Does he have a personal stake in this? Was he "above board" when de demanded her resignation.

This is a disgrace! So many good teachers are leaving the profession for a multitude of reasons and being blamed for the behavior of students is one of them. This superintendent should resign. His statement about this being her fault is as good as saying if a girl is wearing provocative clothing she deserves what she gets.

The picture was private and the teacher was not responsible for the release of the picture. Expel that horrible student. Online bullying is not ok.

That little puke who touched her phone should be punished. Not the teacher. This liberal way of life must stop! Bring her back.. don't ruin her life because of some punk brat kid.

Don't be a stupid politician and ruin someone's life in order to make your career stronger. Simply because everyone else tells you to fire someone over something. It seems you, the superintendent is too conservative. I believe you just made your school seem like a failed system.
