This teacher had her privacy violated and should not have been forced to resign. Where is the justice in this? She should due the school and the student.

I would have thought South Carolina was embarrassed enough already having just voted massively in favour of Donald Trump, but apparently you folks just don't know when to quit. I wonder what will be next in terms of unintelligent behaviour?

Teachers are people. She deserves respect. The student who played with the teacher's phone should be expelled. The teacher did nothing wrong.

There are too many school administrators who believe they are God. Her privacy rights were violated. Now he wants to compound it.

The idea that the teacher is in the wrong here is ridiculous. Anything stored on a personal phone is very reasonably expected to be private.

Your student committed theft and invasion of privacy, not to mention distributing porn. Were any of the students that received the picture under age?? That would be a legally punishable crime. You are punishing the WRONG PERSON, and you're so arrogant you won't admit it. Just right your wrong!! Punish the student!! Otherwise you are sending an awful message to children everywhere!!

Punishing the teacher because her phone was not secure makes no sense. Yes she had a private picture on her phone, sure could have prevented embarrassment if she had put a lock code on it. But, you know what? It was her phone. Her phone. We all are entitled to the belief that our possessions are ours alone, unless we choose to share them. The student not only invaded her privacy, but also chose to embarrass her and ruin her image as a teacher. How can you condone this? Children have to take responsibility for the choices they make. The school administration should stand behind this teacher - she did nothing wrong. What exactly are you trying to teach the students; what example are you looking to set here? How about, don't take things that don't belong to you. Don't search through other people's private items. Don't forward private information. Do treat others as you would like to be treated. Do respect others. Be trustworthy. Be honest.

May the savage you call student suffer the same humiliation. May all the administrators in this so called school district suffer the same humiliation. May all of the bastards that did this get a genetically specific strand of Marberg's Disease and NEVER EVER UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES be able to die or mitigate their pain. EVEN THAT is INFINITELY too much mercy for you raping bastards!

This is a total breach of privacy and intellectual property - this teacher is a victim, not the perpetrator!

How are this student's actions different from going through the teacher's wallet or purse looking for private photos? Believe it or not, teachers have a right not only to a private life, but even - gasp! - to be sexual beings.

Shame on the authorities! An adult woman had adult pictures in her personal device. So? This whole mess is so misogynist I could slap the ass who fired her.

Praying for this teacher. Love the support from the community, students, and world. This is a travesty. It should be her decision whether or not she returns, not the decision of a misinformed superintendent.

This is ridiculous. The student who distributed her private photo ought to be charged. Throw the book at the little jerk. Leave this poor lady alone.
