I don't think the teacher should be responsible for the horrible acts that the child did to her.

It is not the teacher's fault that one person took her phone and sent photos without permission! That would be THEFT of PRIVATE PROPERTY! If anyone is to blame, it is the person that TOOK the phone, IN THE FIRST PLACE AND SHARED THE PHOTOS, NOT Mrs. Arthur!!!

I hope that Mrs Arthur gets reinstated. She was on Hall duty & the school expected her to have 3rd eye in her classroom watching the rest of the students. Can't be in 2 places at the same time. She didn't purposely leave her phone for "anyone" to get or see. If I leave my purse at my desk I don't expect anyone to go through my purse. It's called respect of each & everyone's own property.

Students should be held accountable for their actions! Shame on this student. Shame on the superintendent for not standing by your faculty! Teachers get called out of class all the time, I was a school volunteer for 9 years. I hope she sues the school department and the childrens family!!!

I don't know this teacher but personal information should remain personal. The parents of this child need to be held responsible for not teaching their own child about respect and privacy. Teachers can only do so much.. Since when do teachers need to teach children about consequences of their own actions. This is not okay. PARENTS need to be PARENTS. The child and the child's family should feel ashamed of themselves for failing to teach that child about basic human emotions.

Bring Mrs. Arthur back!! She is the victim here and did nothing wrong. The student was the wrong one. Just because Mrs. Arthur is a teacher doesn't mean she doesn't have a personal life and what she does in her personal life does not make her a bad teacher.

As a teacher who has had their phone stolen as well I can say that it is nearly impossible to be in the classroom at all times. Anyone who thinks wise has never set foot in a classroom.

Stop blaming teachers for the actions of criminal children, and allow them to enforce consequences for inappropriate behavior like we used to.
