Ok, let me get this straight. Teacher has phone, which is private property. Teacher takes phone to work, on school grounds which is accessable by the public. Phone is stolen (theft). Private info from phone is made public. Teacher is reprimanded and thief has no recourse. Uh, what year is this again?

Teacher did NOT knowingly do anything wrong, the student did. Her privacy was violated, so I am signing in her defense because of this & what that nonsupportive administrator said on GMA! He is an idiot!

I don't care if the teacher did allow the student to use her phone. What the student did is criminal and a violation on his part. This is not the teacher's fault. I hope she sues the school and wins!! Give Mrs. Arthur her job back!

*HER RIGHTS* WERE VIOLATED. Put her back in that school so she may help THOSE THAT WANT TO BE HELPED! The Principal - is the worse- for NOT going after the student, also! He/they broke a few laws, also. I hope the original wayward student/s has learned their lessons!!

This is absurd. Another case of parents not teaching thier child any boundaries. A student violates a teacher privacy, and the teacher is fired. Were are people rights to privacy. And of course the school did nothing to the student.
