This situation is unbearably petty, everyone involved should lose their jobs for punishing q teacher for what an evil little snotnosed student does. Her property being stolen is not her fault. Nobody should get a job at this school.

I cannot believe this punk kid is not being charged with dissemination of private property. Her expectation of privacy was destroyed when this punk broke into her phone. The way she has been treated by the school administration is abhorrent. What law did she break?

the student must be punished, this is a violation of privacy, the teacher is NOT guilty.

Give this woman her job back. She shouldn;t have to put a password on her phone. The student was the one stupid enough to take it and humiliate her in front of everybody.

I'm a teacher. I have my master's in education plus two other degrees. I've taught for not as many years as I would have liked due to being bullied within the schools. I've been looking for about 7 years and I've had one actual "teaching job" in the public schools-with my master's and current certification and CHRC and excellent references and decades of experience working with kids and two other college degrees from very good institutions. But, I guess that's not enough and I really want answers, legally sound ones, as to why. I survived a crime or two or more. I never talk about them for obvious reasons, but people have ruthlessly judged me regardless. My guess for why this has all happened is as good as yours. Yes, even I have had the same kind of treatment & completely understand what it feels like to get bullied at work and singled out over doing nothing wrong but being blamed anyway. I know of one other woman who is a great teacher like me, locally, who has also experienced this which convinces me that they are deliberately trying to force good teachers out of American school systems. I've experienced this because I don't support Trump at least partly. I guess that I'm expected to not like him but because I am not afraid to say so, those who did like him, have tried to force me out or treat me badly because of my political affiliation and opinions. That is unconstitutional btw and I have a right to freedom of speech. & guess what, I'll be damned to let anybody punish me for exercising my rights as an American. They seem to want either Trump supporters or people who are quiet about their dislike of him in the job industry. Therefore, they want a monopoly over who is teaching our kids and the common thread is to not openly oppose DJT. That right thesr is the exact definition of unconstitutional. Sure, it's made me poor and times have been hard, but the point is that is my right and people who support him when they behave this way,

This is outrageously bad. Discipline the student. Apologies to the teacher. What are you thinking? That women are alway to be blamed?

That student is a disgusting disappointment. The school and his parents should be ashamed of him.

A teacher shouldn't be fired simply because her privacy was violated.

The teacher should receive pay for her time on leave and the student needs to face consequences for his actions other than guilt.

Disgraceful! The student took her personal phone and should be held accountable! Talk about blame the victim.

Mrs. Arthur's rights are being obliterated by the student's, which is not fair and equitable.

As usual in this politically correct country, the school administration completely dismisses the right to privacy of the teacher. To end a 13 year teaching career over such a trivial matter is a case of poor unprofessional judgement and the school administrator should be terminated, not the teacher.
