His goal as a human being was to simply help others. I had not a single doubt in my mind that if I ever needed anything, Mr. Dimmer was there. I was disappointed to hear that, due to students taking advantage of the constructive freedom Mr. Dimmer allowed in his classroom, he paid the consequences. Coming from personal experience, that is the type of environment I thrived in. As for people arguing that he should have been paying closer attention to what was happening in his class, my response is that people need to learn how to grow up. I am disgusted at how ignorant and stupid those students who partook in the illegal and unacceptable activities in his class. There is not always going to be a teacher to take the blame for your actions so start learning to take responsibility for your own actions because your going to have to enter the real world at some point. My deepest support and hope for his return goes out to Mr. Dimmer. He deserves to come back.

I just want to say that it was a pleasure to meet Mr. Dimmer and get to know him. He was always there for students and helped in anyway he could. It's going to be tough taking another pltw class with a different teacher

Dimmer did a great deal for not only the school but for a large majority of the students at Homestead. He showed students different ways to get jobs and pave the pathway to an attainable career.

Best teaher I've ever had. His classes help you learn what to do in many real life situations. One of the nicest and most considerate teachers I've ever had. He not only pushes you to your full potentiall, but does whatever he can to make sure you not only understand the concept, but that you can use it when you need to. Im upset that he wiont be teaching here anymore because he truly held this school together.

I've heard nothing but positive comments about Mr. Dimmer. If it was his choice to resign, then so be it. But if it was a forced resignation, he is not at fault.

I don't know the full story, but his resignation has far-reaching effects for so many students at HHS who are now forced to change their schedules with no notice. It's hard to know if speaking up on his behalf will be helpful or not since the situation is confidential. What's the point of this petition? Does Mr. Dimmer truly want to return to HHS and have his side of the story made public?
