LT.Colonel Hunter did not deserve losing his job due to this misunderstanding. This just shows the type of administration Salem High Schoool has and as a former student its sad to see this situation take that turn. I joined MCJROTC my senior in high school and he was the most respectful and helpful instructor and I thank him for all that he did for me.

Semper Fi! Good luck on getting your job back and helping this school system to get their act together to help their students become assets to our country and society. We already have enough liabilities.

This man doesn't deserve this. Kids need to follow policies and administrators need to enforce them. The Marine Corps has been good to me and this man has shaped the lives of Marines.

Lt. Colonel should be teaching at a salem a high a school with all of the ROTC students. He has never had any major issues and should not be fired for the reason that he was. He deserves his job not only for himself, but to keep up the amazing work he has been doing with all of the cadets.

I have no ties to the school, but I know how JROTC helps instill drive and determination in students. I believe this is an attack on JROTC by a school run by liberals because they don't agree with the militaristic (conservative) values being taught to students. The country needs more leaders and teachers like Ltc. Hunter.

Discipline needs to be instilled in children in order for them to succeed in life. Following rules is part of the real world! The school is doing a huge disservice to children by allowing this behavior to continue!

In a time when we worry about who us standing for a flag and anthem. I regards to disrespect of three military, here we have a school system disrespecting the military. What are we allowing the schools to teach our, or show by example, to our children. Should these school leaders , i.e. principals and vice principals, be held to any less responsibility than the athletes.
Kids need the U.S.M.C.
Semper Fi !!
