Growing up, I had no idea of there were Christmas lights in Albany until 2020. I enjoy them for two years and then all of a sudden they disappear. This has brought sadness to a lot of people that have made this a tradition. People now have to drive an hour or more to see holiday lights to have their kids enjoy and this has caused problems. I would love to see the holiday lights come back to Washington Park for 2026.

I used to bring my family to Albany from Buffalo for the light show. We would make it a family weekend dining and siteseeing the Capital Region. Was so sad to see it discontinued and would love to see it come back.

I grew up going to the holiday lights every year. I now live in center square and miss being able to go. It always got me in the holiday spirit and it was a staple in Albany holiday traditions. Please bring it back!!

I've lived in the neighborhood for more than 15 years and *never* encountered an issue with traffic because of the lights. Even as a non-Christian, I do miss driving past the park during the holidays and seeing the lights. It's just dark and sad without them!

I would love to see lights in the park come back. I would hope the new mayor who is from a law enforcement family could support it and work with the community to mitigate their concerns.
