I will no longer watch Channel 10 news. Kelly Bates was the most loved and trusted meteorologist in this state. It is truly shameful to reduce her to part time work and give the full time position to a young, skinny woman that has so much less experience……and please don’t claim that she didn’t want to renew her contract, knowing full well that you were demoting her and expecting her to agree to that. You should be ashamed of yourselves. Just another instance of expecting women to be stick thin and young and pretty, while men on your station can age, put on weight and not be handsome. But men are judged on their merit. Women are judged by their appearance and not on their merit. I am truly disgusted!

Instead of firing Kelly get rid of the unprofessional Rosie the traffic reporter. She confuses the hell out of us and giggles like a kid as she runs off. Dan J. says inappropriate comments all the time. Take a cue from our Massachusetts neighbors as the woman dress very classy and the men have style, Get the black prison cuff off Rosie’s leg looks so stupid

Kelly Bates deserves to have her job back, deserves to be paid a comparable salary to other Meteorologists with her experience & deserves a public apology for a very distasteful termination! (The gall to state SHE chose NOT to renew her contract- what, less hours, less pay, less benefits?? How could she? You were driving her out!) Best Meteorologist in Rhode Island! Sinclair Management/owners should be hanging their heads in shame!
