Please reconsider your dismissal of Kelly Bates
You need to realize that she is a real representation of women today.
Boycotting channel 10 from here on out.
You made a grave mistake.

While saddened to hear that Gary Ley was leaving, I was excited to believe that Kelly Bates would be getting his position. I am very upset to hear that she has been passed over. She is the best meteorologist by far in Rhode Island currently. I also think it is wrong of you to try to make it look like she wanted to leave. Obviously, she thought she would be getting Gary's job and not relegated to a part time weekend position. You should be ashamed trying to put age and looks ahead of a more qualified meteorologist. I will no longer be watching your channel for my weather news in the future!

I am no longer a channel ten viewer! I am 86 and loved watching Kelly. You don't seem to value such a sweet person who does such a good job! It's a big loss!

I’m going to sign it BUT did Kelly decline to renew her contract or was she let get. Director from Channel 10 says Kelly declined to renew contract and supposedly posted screen grabs to prove it? Truth?

Rehire Kelly. She is a good communicator, does an excellent job, has a warm and joyful personality. I will no longer watch the news on 10 if she isn't rehired.

Just last week I told my cousin how much I enjoy hear weather from Kelly Bates. She’s no nonsense. She I so straightforward and sweet. You can really relate to her. Then I hear this????? How awful. Channel 10 is way off on this one!! I’m so upset I can’t turn the channel on anymore for the news and weather!!

Kelly Bates was really the only reason why I continued to watch Sinclair Propaganda TV. Now that she's left because of why? I have no further need to watch just to catch Ms Bates' report. Such a shame but somehow, I'm not surprised.

Wake up to Kelly Sunshine- your audience is aging, your audience is overweight. Just ask the health care professionals. Kelly is like us- working hard and trying every day to make it happen. Nothing from nothing leaves nothing - your contract offered must of been nothing good or she would of signed. Your a treasure for someone else to find!!,
