What kind of example are you setting? Letting Kelly go was disgraceful, embarrassing to our state and just plain wrong.

Seems ridiculous to terminate a seasoned employee with so many loyal followers. Very sad on Sinclair's part, not Kelly's part.

To whom it may concern;
This is to inform you that in light of your failure to support and advance the causes of older women who do not serve as “eye candy”. You have not stood by loyal veteran, Kelly Bates, and I am beyond disappointed that you have shown yourself to be part of the problem. I, for one, will no longer be getting my news and weather from WJAR. I have been a steadfast viewer for over 40 years, but I have no problem abandoning you for your lack of a proactive and progressive stance that states that you support WOMEN. Many of your female viewers feel this way. Please know that we are taking our husbands, wives, and partners with along with us. I will return when Kelly Bates does. You have let us down. Please, prove that this was not your intention and take an alternate approach to this matter. You have the chance to make a positive impact in all of this. We are waiting.

Already not watching 10. She was not someone I watched it for, but I will not watch a station that is sooo shallow. She was good at her job. I did watch every morning and weekends.

Kelly - you WILL land on your feet and find a home where people appreciate your value. You’re authentic, knowledgeable and relatable… there is true value in those qualities!

Kelly Bates is smart, energetic, and articulate. I suspect the boss has a bias that belongs in a court.

Just horrible they way she was treated. Bring Kelly Bates back, although I don’t know why she would ever want to be a part of such a disgusting company!
