Kelly, you and Barbara Morse Silva have been my only reasons to watch channel 10. I was unaware that you left the station until I saw a letter to the editor in today’s Providence Journal. When I googled it, I could not believe how many weight loss ads showed up on google related to your name. Never let anyone define you on anything other than your incredible talent as a tv meteorologist. Channel 12 would be smart to scoop you up immediately. You are an incredible meteorologist, it made me cry to see you say that your career is over. Don’t give up. I was so disappointed to read that others at Channel 10 are not speaking up in support because that fear their own job status.

Channel 10 management, you disgust me. An award willing employee fired and your going to try and convince us that her age or weight has nothing to do with it? She's professional, accurate and like a ray of sunshine - bring her back - full contract, full time, full pay. I can't speak for anyone but myself, but there are other channels and I'm gone if she doesn't come back.

Love love love Kelly Bates. I’m stunned and saddened that she is gone. Please bring her back. My husband and and always enjoyed her incredible enthusiasm for her subject—knowledgeable, relatable, beautiful. What’s not to love?

Dumb, dumb move WJAR. Kelly Bates is terrific! You can trust what she says, as she always gives an honest (and believable) account of what's going on with the weather. I've watched her get marginalized for a while now; seems like she's only been allowed to "fill in" for others. She should be on the air FULL TIME. How many awards has this woman garnered over the years for her excellence in broadcasting?... Wake up Sinclair and pay her what she deserves.
