Sinclair and WJAR insults all women. The unrealistic demand to never mature physically is NOT PLACED ON MEN - they are not required to have the physique and face of a teenage boy for the rest of their lives in order to have a career. Kelly Bates is an outstanding meteorologist and an entertaining and engaging presenter, who has delighted and informed us for 17 years and is PART OF OUR LIVES. This is a sexist shame that should not be allowed in this day and age.

Classless corporation, Sinclair. Talent & competence deserve fair compensation. Get it together or lose more revenue by way of viewer exodus.

WJAR/Sinclair has blown it. Offer full time work with a generous raise to Kelly Bates, voted RI Monthly's best in meteorology. I've loved watching her 17 years. She's why I tuned to 10. I'll look elsewhere now.

Hire Kelly back with a good contract or you will lose a viewer

She was (is) the uplifting part of
the weather team. Looked forward to her reporting. Get rid or Mark instead- who is nothing but a negative weather forecaster. I will be changing channels for sure if she is not reinstated.

Take her back. Look what you’ve done. You are nothing without viewers and seems this petition would wake up HR dept at the station. I will turn elsewhere

It is going be sad not seeing Kelly anymore and I think it terrible how disrespectful they treated her & I will not be watching channel 10 no more.& Channel 12 news is what I will be watching now.

She is competent & very engaging on TV, she gave the show substance in her reporting of the weather, I will stick with Michelle on channel 12-I used to flip between shows to get their opinions, but won’t now.

Kelly has consistently been a trusted and popular source for weather and looks great every day. If WJAR is going to be moving its older talent off the air, why not start with the men?

the only reason I turned to ten was because of Kelly Bates
