I can relate to being laid off in my late 50’s; it’s just not fair!

Kelly was a joy to watch in that she was informative and has a unique way of connecting with her audience. My wife and I will no longer watch this station for our local news an weather. Her treatment by this the Sinclair Group was classless!

No matter what their reasons were, they treated her poorly as an employee, and a professional and as a woman.

I have watched Kelly Bates since she joined your station. She is knowledgeable, personable and real! I was so disappointed that her value as a professional has been overlooked, and reduced to how one looks in a tight sheath dress. Reinstate Kelly! She is an asset to the station/team.

I am furious that WJAR has ended Kelly Bates' contract. She was by far my favorite meteorologist on your team. I will not watch WJAR anymore, and will encourage my family and friends to boycott as well.
