I watched Kelly from as young as I remember, early in the mornings before school when it snowed to see if we’d have a snow day, or to check if it would be a good beach day. She has always had a wonderful personality and made the news a joy to watch. I was surprised and saddened to hear she was taken away from the team. A mistake indeed.

shocked hearing this! How can this be legal? To terminate an employee to hire someone younger? Kelly brings her seasoned experience to the table, she is real,she is doing what she was meant to do and she is great at it! You cannot replace that or her experience and talent! With our climate change issues we need someone seasoned to tell us the weather! We are praying for you Kelly! Everyone pray for kelly so that she may keep her job! ...I wont watch without her!

Kelly used to frequent the Starbucks I worked at for years! She’s a wonderful woman and was always a delight to interact with, full of positive energy and a definite asset to Channel 10!

I love Kelly Bates. Bring her back! Do what you have to do to convince her to sign a new contract for full time weekdays. Boycotting channel 10 and will only live stream wpri 12 until her return.
