I always had my phones rooted because it gives me more tools to setup the phone the way that I need. I'ts a shame that Huawei decided to limit their customers.

I'll literally be returning my Honor 7x to Amazon for a full refund if I'm not able to unlock the bootloader. This is MY device and it is not up to you to decide what I should or shouldn't be doing with it.

Always loved Huawei for that exact reason - easy to unlock the bootloader and customize your phone without any third party apps. Very disappointed to see that this feature has been eliminated...
Give me back my unlock code, Huawei!

Like someone mentioned before, we as paying costumers should have the right to root or not our phones, otherwise this is just like Apple thinking they still own the devices they sold. If the means to root are not provided then this guarantees many people who enjoy Huawei products now will not buy future products.
