This is amazingly ridiculous! There is no reason to ban Halloween on any grounds. Please do not let every time honored tradition become negatively effected by the unfair focus of religion or politics. Do some actual research on the true meaning of Halloween, take your time to truly understand it, and you will find that it is in no way offensive to anyone no matter what type of archaic views they have.

The banning of Halloween parades is outrageous. Growing up in East Haven- it was the pinnacle of every elementary students year when Halloween rolled around! We had parades and parties and no one was concerned about who got left out or who was offended because everyone participated and no one complained!

All the people in POWER should STOP BOWING DOWN to the people who are in OUR COUNTRY and want to change it into THEIR COUNTRY. LEAVE OUR TRADITIONS ALONE, LEAVE OUR FAMILIES & CHILDREN ALONE. Why not concentrate on taking care of OUR VETERANS who gave all these people the FREEDOM to protest against OUR TRADITIONS

I would love to share memories of Halloween parades with my children. I have 3 and two are currently in the elementary school one pre-k. Please bring them back.

This is a great idea. Some of the kids can't go trick or treating so this would make them so happy. The kids are the ones who matter. I am behind this petition 100%

My daughter is too old to partake in this anymore but I always thought it was horrible that the school district took such a wonderful childhood memory away from her.

I think it is awful that this is even an issue. Children are only children for a very short time. This is something both children and parents look forward to. When I worked with children in Clinton they would all look forward to this and Christmas celebrations. Because of two or three children who came into the school who were not allowed to participate every single child suffered because Christmas activities and other things were now not allowed. I'm sorry , but I don't understand why everyone else who have children have to suffer. I wish back then we had things like this available to really see how the majority of people felt. Please don't take away the few things these kids look forward to, do the right thing.
