we actually did it, the town council finally gave us the green light to open the drive in. i cant believe we pulled this off but thank you for sticking with me. keep an eye on the local pages for news on the first screening.

Do you remember how fun going to the Drive In was? Do
you want to provide our youth with some positive activity for our small city? How about jobs, do you think a venture like this would provide jobs in this difficult time in our economy? Well if you share the same passion as me and my friends who know how the lack of positive activities in our city has affected them then sign our petition. I don't understand why the City just lets a nice piece of land just sit there. It could be a workable location and create some more jobs and entertainment for the Community and Tourists.
I ran the outdoor movies on the HarborWalk in downtown Gloucester this summer, and based on the fact that over 1,000 people showed up for more than one of the movies, I'd say a drive-in might be something local folks and summer guests would support. And I'd totally run it if someone asked me to.
A drive-in theatre in Gloucester seems like a win-win-win. Jobs for locals, entertainment and positive past-time for locals and tourists alike and just plain cute. Hope this goes through. Perhaps collaborate with Gloucester Cinemas that already in town and see what their thoughts if anything would be....Good luck!
Need to bring it back.This was one of my best childhood memories for me with my Mom,Dad,brothers and my sister !!! We kept this going with my husband and kids. Families now don't have this anymore and the kids always lived this time. Something all generations enjoyed !!!?

We've already taken the initial steps as far as checking for land ownership, zoning laws, researched at city hall, talked to possible investors ect, will keep you folks posted.
