It has been a privilege working with Fr. Nick and many families within the Greek Community at St. Athanasius'. He is truly the reason the families we serve go back to that church for their loved ones Funeral Services. We hope to be fort Jane enough to have the oppuertunity to work with Fr. Absolutely abhorrent treatment of the kindest priest I have ever known. Father Nick welcomed us with warmth every time we attended any functions at his church; he truly embodies what it means to be Greek Orthodox. It's a shame that the PC have forgotten. In times where efforts are being undertaken to keep youth within the church, this wide-spread destruction of his character will do anything but. Social media unrest has only grown since this became public and their explanation rings hollow. Dropi.

Father Nick used to do the morning sermon on the Greek radio station. This morning there was another person delivering this. Why does the St. Athanasius PC issue extend to the radio program? Did these men/women understand that by addressing the Metropolitan would completely destroy a man's career, black ball him from anything associated with Greek Orthodoxy. Is this outcome really what they intended or did they think the Metropolitan would mediate and help them come to an agreeable solution? I cannot imagine that any person who gives his/her time to serve their church would really desire the complete destruction of another individual. This horrific end result has shaken my faith. I whole-heartedly support Father Nick, as he is a wonderful human being, and an outstanding priest. I pray for him and for his family daily. I also pray that the PC come to their senses and realize they have destroyed this man. They need to reverse this wrong ASAP!

In my 82 years of being involved in our Orthodox church, I've never met a nicer, more caring, hard working, priest than Father Nick. If they could clone priests, he would be the best candidate. I truly believe our Metropolitan has made a bad decision and a disservice to our faith.

Father Nick has always been part of our lives. he went to school with my wife his father married us Father Nick baptized me into the Greek faith. how can we help . we have been to the church

My son was married by Fr. Nick and he seems like a wonderful man. I, too, am Greek and this is so upsetting. I hope things can work out in his favor and for all of you in his congregation.

Father Nick welcomed us in his church as guests in support of local charities. He was gracious, kind and determined to help all. This removal seems unwarranted and down right wrong.
I am not a Church goer and was born and raised a Protestant. I met Father Nick once with my friend Liz (a member of this Church) when we went for her uncle's 40-day memorial and I was taken by his warm and friendly greeting. I met him again in one of the Church's fairs and he remembered my name and again greeted me with warmth and kindness. Liz always spoke with such affection towards Father Nick and I understood her fondness for him when I met him in person. In this particular time in our lives where all our faith for our leaders is being shaken and questioned, it is wonderful to see that one leader in Arlington is so loved and respected. We need such a beloved Father more now than ever and the parishioners and their families of this Church need him even more for the goodness and love he projects to all. Do not take him away from a Church he served so well for so many years.

Fr. Nick is a strong spiritual leader and people will lose faith if he is summarily dismissed without explanation. In these days of secularism where parents don't even bring their children to church, we need a priest like Fr. Nick who inspires people to come every Sunday and worship and hear Gods message.

It shameful how they are treating Father, Nick like a criminal, not even letting him go get his own stuff and the parish council changing the locks what are they Afraid of? Who do they think they are I will tell you they are power hungry vengeful UNCHRISTIAN people. Also it is not Fr. Nick place to tell people what they can write, speak about on their social media IT IS AMERICA so someones feelings got hurt so now let us ruin the life of a priest and his family. To Methodios you are a one sided person Karma can be mean so...... also have police there tell people they can not GO INTO THE CHURCH TO pray or light a candle! WHAT is this a communist country!
