I'm deeply saddened by this. The people responsible should be ashamed. Fr. Nick is the heart and core of this church. Bring Father Nick back!!!! I do not see myself supporting or attending this church without him.

We and our entire extended family stand behind Father Nick. Removing such an incredible man has brought sadness to all of us and has disgraced the church.

It would be nice to hear why? You don't get fired for no reason. A lot of things happen in churches that people refuse to believe. People should wait to hear as to why.

Please give us specific information as to why you have chosen to remove Nick Castanas from the Greek Orthodox Church in Arlington, Ma. This is a move shrouded in mystery.

We have been so blessed to have had a spiritual leader who showed such warmth to our children and who made them comfortable, happy and eager to engage in their faith. On behalf of them and the other children of our parish who will feel this loss deeply for years to come, we petition for Fr. Nick's return.

We were blessed to be married and have our children baptized by Father Nick. Even though not members of the church anymore we are deeply saddened to hear the news. He is the most honest and humble person I have ever met. We live in a world of fear and dishonestly and only a few minutes with this wonderful priest gives you hope, peace and confidence. Not sure what the reasons are for such thing to occur since it wasn't outlined in the letter but I hope people take another look at the situation. If Father Nick returned it would be a blessing and an honor to have him back at the church that he belongs at. Thank you for your time.

Words can't describe how upsetting it was to find out that Father Nick was released. What's more concerning is that the communication from Metropolitan Methodios to the parish did not give any specifics on the events leading to Father Kastanas's dismissal. Whoever initiated this process must have know the devastating blow this would have had on our community. This is not how Christians treat those that have loved and cared for them for years, simply put this is a betrayal in the order of Judas Iscariot. Father Kastana's has been a positive and loving presence all these years and I'm outraged by how he has been treated and by the manner by which the Metropolis went about this. If he committed a sin or an error against our community, we are Christians that know the healing power of forgiveness.
I ask that additional clarity is provided as to the events leading to his dismissal and the opportunity for his reinstatement in the event the dismissal was not warranted.
Sincerely,
John Athanasopoulos

We are now residents of Atlanta Georgia but Fr Nick has been a spiritual leader to our family for 30 years! He counseled me when my father died when I was 14, baptized all three of my children as well as my husband! He is an outstanding leader and does not deserve to be treated this way!

Father Nick is a wonderful ,kind man who was wrongfully fired. This kind of behavior should NOT be happening. He deserves justice.

I've never met a priest like Father Nick before. His kindness and unconditional love has been a source of hope and renewal for many in the church. Even people outside of the Arlington community have seeked his guidence, and he invites them with open arms. He always goes above and beyond for everyone. He is so easy to approach, he is open-minded and embraces everyone. He loves our children and makes and effort to talk to them and be present for all their events. The way he has been treated is unjust and now he needs our help! It is crucial that we get him back for the good of our children and the future of the Greek Orthodox community in Massachusetts! He's our priest and no one should have the right to dictate otherwise. Please, help out and sign.
