The behavior of the Parish council is the downfall of the church, not Fr. Nick. If Fr. Nick is not reinstated I will leave the parish.

Such a sad and unfortunate event for a man that has been a staple and a beacon of faith in this community so long. I pray to God that the motives for such an action are pure and not tainted by greed or hidden agendas. God bless you Father Nick for all that you have done .

He was not just a priest but a man of wisdom and knowledge that made a community want to come to his surface every Sunday cause he would be able to break it down so someone that doesn't speak Greek, Father Nick would speak in English so someone like me would understand what his topic was. Who ever made the dissision to let Father Nick go is a fool

I've never met a priest like Father Nick before. His kindness and unconditional love has been a source of hope and renewal for many in the church. Even people outside of the Arlington community have seeked his guidence, and he invites them with open arms. He always goes above and beyond for everyone. He is so easy to approach, he is open-minded and embraces everyone. He loves our children and makes and effort to talk to them and be present for all their events. The way he has been treated is unjust and now he needs our help! It is crucial that we get him back for the good of our children and the future of the Greek Orthodox community in Massachusetts! He's our priest and no one should have the right to dictate otherwise. Please, help out and sign.

I may no longer live in the area, but St. Athanasius and Father Nick were my home base. It is a shame to see this happen to someone like our priest. Thank you for creating this petition and I hope our voice can make a difference.

FYI! few years ago a young priest came with his family from Greece and upper management of the Metropolis of Boston treated him the same and even worst.. let's not forget that some of these people don't know what religion is and they only care for money.. shame on them.

Disgusted by this news. He was a true man kd god. He married me and my siblings and other family members. He christened my children and nephews. Also buried many family members with much love and respect. Terrible news. Truly unholy. Shame on those responsible.

Please I BEG YOU DO NOT let Father Nick go. He has been the best priest to our family and this church has ever seen. Letting him go would be a mistake and a tremendous loss to our family and the Arlington Comunity. PLEASE DO THE RIGHT THING AND WORK TOGETHER TO KEEP FATHER NICK IN ARLINGTON. Thank you

I've attended the Greek Festival at St. Athanasius for three years and I've been kindly greeted by Father Nick each time. I've been touched by his genuine kindness and love for people. I honestly can't say I'll be attending next years festival if I find he's been unjustifiably fired.

Father Nick went out of his way to be there for my family when we needed him most. He is a kind, compassionate person and one of the primary reasons that our Parish has been so successful. I cannot see myself continue supporting this Parish if this decision stands!
BRING FATHER NICK BACK!

In 2012 my Mother passed away. Father Nick Kastanas of the Arlington Greek church was there daily to give my family and myself support to help my Mother and all of us during our extreme time of need.
At one point at 3AM, we called Father Nick to come and say a prayer at the hospital for my dying Mother.
Sure enough an hour later he was there in person at 4AM, even though she was not a member of the parish.
As a priest Father Nick is the best I have ever had in my life. Having gotten to get to know him over the last 10+ years he is an amazing and honorable person.
Father Nick did NOT deserve to get fired in this manner, as it was not an Orthodox way to approach this at all.
I simply hope that his online petition will help get Father Nick Kastanas back at his rightful place as the Priest and Spiritual leader for the Arlington Greek community.
