This is a huge mistake that they made. Father Nick is great priest.

Father Nick has been a wonderful source of faith and inspiration for myself and my family. He baptized our daughter last August and we have been looking forward to continuing our and our daughter's religious experience with his loving guidance every step of the way.

Father Nick deserves more respect than this... Very disappointed! FATHER NICK, you have been there for all of my family at the most difficult of times and at any time when we have needed you, with no hesitation you've been there for us! We want you to stay! Whoever this falls on I hope you all realized the turmoil NOW that this has and will cause....

People like father Kastanas are the biggest reason why families feel like they are part of a community at church. This action reeks of pettiness and politics with no thought towards the children and families who he has devoted his life to. Shame.

My name is Andrew Voyatzakis. I know Father Nick since he came to Arlington Church almost 30 years ago.
Father Nick is not only a great Priest he also one of the most decent Human being I ever meet.
This dictatorial moves from the Bishop has to stop. The bishop must go~! after all We the parishioners pay for his life style. We need a good leader not a dictator. We all must work together to get the bishop out our community. This is the right thing to do.

My family has been members of St Athanasius since 1964. As a past Parish Council president, I think it's disgraceful the way this Parish Council leadership and the Metropolis have handled this and other church affairs, Fr Nick has been there for our family during the past 26 years and is why we still attend and support St Athanasius since moving to Chelmsford 8 years ago. It pains me to say this, but If Fr Nick is not reinstated we will be supporting another church.

My name is Stavroula Varlamos, I am a member of Assumption Greek Orthodox Church in St. Clair Shores, Michigan. Fr. Nick is my theio. I am disgusted and appalled with how he has been treated by a few of his own people, and his cowardly superiors. They may hide behind their so-called power and authority, but I know that many still support my theio and love him dearly. Those who have deceived him and conspired behind his back should be utterly appalled and ashamed of themselves, and deserve every bit of blow back from the community they get. Stay strong Arlington, you are not alone. And to the cowards that have shamed not only themselves but our religion, I will say this: this is not just your diocese's problem anymore, you have the attention of parishes across the United States, so tread extremely lightly..

Pater Nicholas Kastanas is the glue in our parish, and if he goes away, it will fall apart. He he has been a motivator and a spiritual guide for my family, and everyone else at the church.

This is nothing new. The best pastors are usually treated this way. Happened to my late father who was a priest & friend of Father Nick's.

The hierarchy can not and will not silence the stewards of St. Athanasius with threats. Father Nick has been there for us all for 30 years in our time of need and we should now be there for him. He is the heart of our church.

The people responsible for this should be ashamed of themselves. I was told Metropolitan Methodios wasn't even present to speak to his own priest on any issues he has with him, but instead left for Greece and cowardly left this awful duty to others. He accuses Fr. Nick of not being there for his flock. Where is he for his priests? Shame on him, the chancellor and the parish council for allowing this to happen to such a beloved, kind and loving man of God. Fr. Nick, we are praying for you and YOUR community. We love you.

My whole family and I are deeply saddened by this. The ones responsible should be ashamed of what they did. Father Nick is the heart of the church, he has to stay.

Not only do I hope your parish gets Fr Nick back, but it's about time we address the bigger problem of allowing politics and egos to infiltrate our churches. This is not the first church to lost their priest nor will it be the last! I think many are starting g to recognize the common denominator. Good luck!
