The Metropolitan has returned from Greece, and yet we still have no answers. It is obvious that the few but powerful Parish Council members who have instigated such chaos and disgrace in God's house have the support of the Metropolitan and the Chancelor. I believe those two gentleman take a closer look at the details of their respective roles. They have a responsibility to the people of St. Athanasius. Those people have spoken volumes through this petition. Father Nick is a priest, who stands out among his peers for his genuine devotion to his congregation. The people have spoken, and now it is overdue that this disgusting wrong be reversed. Metropolitan, please take action to reverse the obvious blunder that your Chancelor made in your absence. STOP the INJUSTICE!

This whole thing against Father Kastanas is so heartbreaking. My soul aches to see the evil that is being done and the people not taking a vocal stand to support Father... "Isnt this what happened to Christ?"

Father Nick had made such an impact on so very many important people in my life. Although I only met him briefly, those friends/family deserve to continue to be served by Father Nick.

To me, Fr. Nick represents everything that is good about the Orthodox Church and humanity. He is supportive, loving, nonjudgemental, calming, funny, intelligent and most importantly, he puts the needs of his community first. This is truely sad and upsetting.
