That slanderous letter cited the removal of Father Nick as "the first step on the path to restoring this Community into one of unity." I am sure that never again, in the St. Athanasius church history, will we see the Community as united as we were today in church. And the sole reason for that unity is Father Nick. To the man that has been there for my family when no one else was, thank you a million times over. Father Nick is the heart of the church, and without its heart, the St. Athanasius church will not survive

I am deeply saddened and appalled at the removal of Fr. Nick of the Arlington Greek Orthodox Church by Metropolitan Methodios. The worst part of all this are the lies and misinformation perpetuated by the 5 Board members on the Parish Council of St. Athanasius Church. The Metropolitan has accused Fr. Nick of "unchristian behavior", but in fact it is the 5 members of the board and Metropolitan Methodios who are behaving "unchristian" and cruel by removing a well-respected and beloved priest who has ministered our community for almost 30 years. WE WANT FATHER NICK BACK NOW!!

It is disrespectful to do something like this to a priest in the community for so many years!

Bring him back! Words can't describe how loved this man is. Not only by the Greek community, but the entire Town of Arlington and beyond! I'm a Police Officer in the Town and I know first hand how loved this man Is! This is very disturbing! God bless you father!

Why do we still support Bishop's who no longer desire to serve but to be served. Please consider supporting this petition: https://ipetitions.com/petition/petition-to-remove-greek-orthodox-eparchial-synod

Until we hear a valid reason, this is an embarrassment and the first time I've ever felt this way about my Greek faith!!!!

Bureaucracy over community once again. Hard to imagine any valid reason to create such a bad precedent for the generations of priests that will come after father Nick. Whoever this guy Methodios is, likely has hurt the church more than anyone else.

Fr. Nick is by far the most professional caring clergy I have ever had the pleasure of working with during my 35 years as a funeral director. Fr. is not only sincere with his parishioners but truly nothing but helpful while assisting during a most trying time as a death. He is open arms to all, unlike many clergy of different faiths who are not so welcoming to a stranger. Way back in the day as a young man I realized Fr. Nick was one of the greatest assets Arlington has. I have seen him full mode as clergy and in a more relaxed atmosphere. He is the same guy. Truly a great man! I will not attend this church until his return. Father Kastanas is a value person for Hellenism and the values of Christianity. It is a shame decision!!!!

Fr. Nick is the heart and soul of St. Athanasius. I know he wants us to continue peacefully, but when a great man is being treated unfairly, that's hard to do. Much love ❤️
