Dr Zucker is one of the most intelligent, compassionate and dedicated physicians I have had the pleasure of knowing and working with. I think that both the community and the hospital will be impacted if his name is not cleared and he is not reinstated

He successfully transplanted my Dad who was a lvad patient prior to transplant. And ultimately has given him the gift of extra years spent with his caring wife and family that he adores! He saves lives.

Dr zucker has saved my mother’s life TWICE not once BUT TWICE. My mother has been his patient for over 15 years and has taken the best care of her he is a miracle worker and the fact that this is happening is a shame he has always had the best interest at heart ONCE AGAIN for the heart transplant program the good he has done is indescribable. Anything he has done has been for the greater good of the hospital and the heart transplant program and should be immediately taken off of administrative leave and back to the hispital where he belongs HELPING people like he has for the last TWENTY YEARS. We live an hour away and still come to the hospital SOLELY on the basis that Dr. Zucker is there, without him that transplant center is nothing.

Mark Zucker served on the local school board when I was also a member. He displayed the most integrity and intelligence of anyone I ever observed or worked with in government. He is a model citizen and strives to make the world better every day of his life. This is preposterous and absurd what is happening to him. He must be reinstated immediately.

As each day passes, my anger grows because a wonderful, brilliant doctor who has helped people in all walks of life is unable to do what he does best -- saving lives. Along with my anger is a deep-seated fear for transplant patients such as my husband (1/7/14) who are missing their anchor, the one constant in their lives as they've gone through medical emergencies leading to the ultimate gift of a heart transplant and continue to battle issues that come their way from time to time. When my husband became ill this past summer with a non-cardiac but transplant-related issue and was hospitalized, as soon as Dr. Zucker walked into his hospital room, we breathed a sigh of relief. And from that point forward, working with another wonderful infectious disease doctor, Dr. Zucker correctly diagnosed the illness and directed his treatment until my husband was fully recovered and beyond. He is one of a kind. There's nothing else to say that hasn't already been said in these comments. I hope he's reading everything here so it will warm his own heart to know that he is so loved by all of us, and we just WANT HIM BACK!
In addition, how dare RWJ Barnabas jeopardize the health of past, present and future heart transplant patients in NJ! There are many people who cannot travel out of New Jersey for medical, financial and logistical reasons. There are patients on Medicaid who will suffer with the loss of this robust program. When we go to NBI, we see so many people who can barely walk, who need oxygen to survive, who are elderly, who have very poor health overall. What's going to happen to these people? What's going to happen to all of us?

When you’re on the brink of death, you need God’s best — and that is Dr. Zucker!
Filled with compassion and integrity he and his team fought (while other doctors may have walked away from the mounting challenges) to save my brother-in-law, Joe Spinella’s life. Dr. Zucker and his team stayed with Joe throughout his long and very difficult journey to wellness. Because they did not throw in the towel, Joe is living a happy productive life with his wife and two children.
