But for the grace of God, the skill and guts of Dr. Mark Zucker, I would not have celebrated this past Thanksgiving with my family of 20. My health has been declining for years from heart disease, kidney failure, and the immediate need for a heart transplant. I am from Boston where the city is known for its Universities and great hospitals. Nonetheless, my daughter’s research made it clear that if wanted to live, go to Newark Beth Israel and see Dr. Mark Zucker.
After 8+ months of rehab and a new heart and kidney, I see life as a possibility to do for others, and I will. From the beginning of these accusations, the hospital has not stood up for their own Dr. Zucker who 31 years earlier started the great heart and lung program that today is a highlight for NJ to celebrate; not hide under lawyers and weak board members’ blanket of bad judgement.
Newark Beth Israel and Barnabas hospital, have disparage a great doctor, and by not accelerating a result of their investigation, Dr. Zucker’s reputation is suffering a grain of sand daily. As one of many of Marks’ patients, he is one of a kind and someone we can trust with our lives. Officers of NBI and Board members of Barnabus, STOP THIS FOOLISHNESS. Bring
back Mark Zucker and restore his reputation that he certainly earned!

Dr Zucker is an amazing individual and doctor. This is so unfortunate to see so much talent, care and love go to waste. I hope that he can get back to what he loves to do, sooner than later.

Dr Zucker was a angel for my dad James Davitt, we were blessed with having him around for an extra 12 years after his heart transplant. My dad was able to see his 2 grandchildren grow up for a couple of years that he wouldn't of had if it wasn't for Dr Zucker. Thank You Doc.....

Dr. Zucker has been both my sisters and my moms doctor for decades. He has always been extremely professional & kind hearted to our family. My sister has had many complications due to her health and he has always done his very best to find the best solution possible. Since his absence she’s felt very lost and uneasy . It’s very sad to feel so comfortable and safe with a doctor and then all of a sudden that is no longer. Please think of all the people that count on him for their health.

Dr. Zucker cared for my wife after her heart transplant from Jan 21, 1997 until her passing on Jun 26, 2009. There was no other heart physician in the country that she would allow to handle her care. He is a Saint.

Dr Zucker is a brilliant doctor and always put patients first. What kind of person who will take his job away? That person is selfish.

Darryl Terry professed at a meeting how great Dr. Zucker is as a heart physician and how well the heart program is run and said if he or anyone in his family or friends network had a heart issue that Dr Zucker would be his go to Doctor.
So why did MR. Terry put Dr. Zucker on leave?
Think about it. Does any of this story we are hearing make any sense. Is this internal politics or
Medicine. Because all I know is that Dr Zucker is 100% medicine. Since graduating Medical school and Law School at the same time Dr Zucker chose medicine and from that point on 18hrs
a day at least his life has been revolved around
Caring for people.
If I had to take my son or father (god for bid) to the hospital to see Dr Zucker I don’t know what I would do now.
PLEASE bring back Dr. Mark J. Zucker at once!!
It’s time to be fair to a man who cares deeply about what he does and the people he treats as well as his staff members. Medicine is his life. Don’t waste anymore time.

My mom was referred to NBIMC by a doctor at another hospital specifically because of Dr Zucker's heart transplant program. Although she did not need a transplant her valve disease had caused her pulmonary hypertension and the referring doctor said Dr Zucker was the best doctor to handle that condition. She's still with us today. Please reinstate Dr Zucker so more lives can be saved. Thank you.
